Employees of planned mining and processing plant receive keys to new flats

The construction of housing for employees continued throughout 2009 as part of on-going preparations for the construction of the mining and processing plant in the Kotelnikovo District, Volgograd Region, the site of the Gremyachinskoe potash deposit.

Currently a project is in development to construct a residential district named “Oak Woods”. The first stage of the project will accommodate three thousand residents. The project also includes kindergartens, a school, a hospital, a clinic, administrative, business and leisure centers, a shopping and entertainment mall, a hotel and a café. Sports facilities, a study centre, a stadium and a parking lot will fit perfectly into the local landscape. Three types of housing will be provided: separate cottages with private plots of land, townhouses, and low-rise apartment blocks.

Public hearings on the development of “Oak Woods” residential district are planned for this March, and the construction of 50 cottages and a three-storey apartment block (with two entrances) is scheduled for Q3-Q4 of this year.
