EuroChem

Communities

Our operations have economic, social and environmental impacts on the communities in which they are located, and we are committed to ensuring that EuroChem supports the sustainability of these communities though its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and charity programmes, health, safety and environmental performance and human resources management.

EuroChem’s social policy system is based on five priorities areas: sport, health, education, ecology, and charity.  The programs take into account the specific situations in the 11 towns where EuroChem is present (Kovdor, Kingisepp, Murmansk, Novomoskovsk, Nevinnomyssk, Belorechensk, Tuapse, Kotelnikovo, Usolye, Kedainyai and Karatau).

We understand that the majority of our enterprises are the mainstays of their local economies. Therefore, apart from ensuring stable operations, paying taxes and competitive salaries, we take on voluntary obligations to create a favourable and stable living environment in these regions.

Over the last ten years, EuroChem has invested RUB 2.2 billion in local communities, social projects and charities.

Developing Youth Hockey

A key priority for EuroChem’s program to develop hockey in is the construction of Ice Palaces in the 6 regions where EuroChem facilities are located, organizing 5 new regional children’s and youth sports schools, creating and supporting children’s and youth sports clubs and teams, promoting ice sports throughout the regions of Russia, and securing the participation of young athletes in All-Russia hockey competitions.

In 2009, the fist pilot project under the program was launched – the construction of a hockey arena in Novomoskovsk, Tula Region.

For over 9 years, EuroChem supported the construction and rennovation of sport infrastructure in the cities and regions where its facilities are located. EuroChem also supports local youth sports schools, sports clubs and sporting competitions. We believe that this improves the health and living standards in our communities.

Since 2004, EuroChem has supported the hockey club SKA Saint Petersburg, and since 2008, the World Hockey Championship.
